Head of Administration

Salary: To £35,000 DOE plus excellent benefits including company pension, profit related bonus, employee share ownership scheme and more.

Location: West Lothian (just off M8)

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and motivational Head of Administration to lead a team of ten committed staff. This is a real opportunity to make your mark both on the Admin team and the future of Fitwise Management Ltd. We are looking for a persuasive and experienced leader to help shape and develop the department by implementing change and modernisation where required. You will also be a key member of the company’s senior management team.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

 Required:

  • At least three years proven people and administration management experience
  • Experienced and skilled in all aspects of office administration and management.
  • Strong interpersonal and team working skills
  • Good strategic and business planning skills
  • Strong leadership and people management skills. Ability to achieve buy in to key business change
  • Excellent motivational skills
  • Highly motivated and energetic individual with a positive outlook
  • Preferably of graduate calibre or educated to Higher standard or above with ideally, relevant qualifications in Office Management, Accounts, English and Maths
  • Strong IT proficiency including a good working knowledge of all Microsoft software packages, SAGE, Outlook, Telephone Portal, Laserfiche and membership management databases. Good knowledge of latest admin systems, processes and systems
  • Highly organised and systematic approach to work and time management
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills at all levels
  • Good numeracy skills and ability to draw logical conclusions from analysis
  • An attention to detail and accuracy
  • Is persistent and tenacious, demonstrating an ability to solve problems creatively

 Desirable:

  • Previous experience of working with associations/charities or third sector
  • Client account management experience

Head of Finance

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Fitwise at an exciting stage in our evolution and to develop your career in a dynamic and fast paced environment.

At the moment, our senior level financial expertise is outsourced. This appointment will be the first appointment of an internal financial expert who will help shape and lead the Finance Department to ensure that it modernises and is ready for the future. You will be a member of the company’s senior management team and initially lead a team of four established Bookkeepers and a Credit Controller.

The expectation is that the successful candidate will become a Board Director within a two to three year timeframe, dependant on performance.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and abilities:

* Qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA with 5+ years PQE

* Ideally experience of working in the third/charity sector and/or working in growth stage of an SME

* Strong business acumen and understanding of financial issues at both a strategic and practical level

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills internally and externally. A confident, articulate and persuasive presenter of financial data

* Proven leadership and people management skills. Ability to motivate/inspire a team and achieve buy in to key business changes

* Advanced level spreadsheet skills and PC literacy. Strong understanding of relevant accounting software (SAGE/XERO)

* Strong experience and knowledge of financial/admin systems and processes

* Highly motivated and energetic individual with a positive outlook

January 2018

We all kicked off the new year by starting a Walking Club which meets every Friday lunchtime and involves a walk around our beautiful office grounds. Staff get to enjoy a slightly longer lunch break which enables them to put on their walking boots and get some much needed fresh air as well as an opportunity to catch up with colleagues and to be more active!

April 2018

Our team raised over 60 Easter Eggs this year! All Easter Eggs were donated to West Lothian Carers.

On Thursday 19th April the company participated in a Car Treasure Hunt. This involved 5 times visiting different stops around the West Lothian area to collect answers and to pose for silly selfies! Congratulations to Team 2 for winning!

June 2018

We will be celebrating Employee Ownership day again this year with an enjoyable staff lunch.

July 2018

Our annual team development day will be held this summer and it gives staff the opportunity to come together and have some fun! We provide an educational session in the morning followed by some team building games.

We will be celebrating Halloween again this year with a competition for the best fancy dress costume in the office.

We will be taking part in Christmas Jumper day with all participants donating £1 to come to work wearing their favourite Christmas jumper.
