| What are the EPIC 2 Guidelines? |
Multiprofessional guidelines commissioned by the Department of Health developed after a systematic and expert review of all of the available scientific evidence on Healthcare Associated Infections. The guidelines describe the precautions healthcare workers should take in 3 areas. With the Implementation workshops focusing on preventing infections associated with central venous catheters, in conjunction with the vascular access elements of the DH Saving Lives Programme of High Impact Interventions. |
