Fitwise has been in business for over 25 years, and offers administration services and event management to a number of established long-term clients. The clients gained in the first years of Fitwise’s service significantly remain clients of Fitwise two decades later. 

Fitwise works with a wide range of medical, scientific and nursing associations enabling them to meet the requirements and needs of their members, whether that be strategic management services, event management, membership co-ordination services, or a combination of the above.

Association for Continence Advice Annual Conference

Event: Annual Conference & Exhibition

Date: Monday 22 - Tuesday 23 May 2017

Location: Belfast Waterfront, Northern Ireland

Overview: The Association for Continence Advice (ACA) is a multi-professional association open to all health and allied care professionals who are working within, or have an interest in the field of bladder and bowel management.

Audience: This conference is expected to attract approximately 200 delegates. Including: Continence Advisors, Continence Nurses, Physiotherapists, Urology Nurses, Specialist Nurses within Continence Advice, Stoma Care and Stoma Care Oncology.

Abstracts: We anticipate approximately 15 abstracts will be submitted for either oral or poster presentation.

Exhibition: The conference will feature an extensive exhibition with over 50 companies offering new innovative products and practical solutions.

British Academy of Audiology Annual Conference

Date: Thursday 16 - Friday 17 November 2017

Location: Bournemouth International Centre

Overview: The BAA Annual Conference is the largest Audiology conference in the UK with over 600 delegates. The conference is multi-disciplinary focused, allowing for participation from healthcare professionals in other related fields.

Audience: This conference is expected to attract 600 delegates. Including: Audiologists, Research Audiologists, Clinical Scientists Teachers of the deaf, Hearing Therapists Academia / Lecturers, Heads of Department Hearing Aid Dispenser, Trainees Students and Independent Practitioners Consultants.

Abstracts: Over 90 abstracts are expected to be submitted for either oral or poster presentation.

Exhibition: BAA Conference plays host to the largest Audiology exhibition in the UK and is expected to have over 50 exhibitors in attendance.

British Association of Urological Nurses Annual Conference

Event: Annual Conference & Exhibition

Date: Monday 27 - Tuesday 28 November 2017

Location: SECC, Glasgow

Overview: The BAUN Annual Conference offers a unique opportunity for delegates and exhibitors to meet and network with other urology professionals, the conference brings together some of the leading speakers and experts in the urology.

Audience: This conference is expected to attract approximately 250 delegates. Including: Urology Nurse Practitioner, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Senior Theatre Nurse Practitioner, Staff Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

Abstracts: The conference is expected to attract over 20 abstracts for either oral or poster presentation.

Exhibition: This conference will feature an extensive exhibition with over 50 companies.

Infection Prevention Society Annual Conference

Event: Infection Prevention 2017

Date: Monday 18th - Wednesday 20th September 2017

Location: Manchester Central

Overview: This 3 day multi-stream conference will welcome over 800 professionals within the field of infection prevention and control. Each year the educational programme grows which has led to the development and expansion of the IPS Conference encouraging a larger and more varied audience.

Audience: This conference is expected to attract over 800 delegates. Including: Director Infection Prevention and Control, Clinical Nurse Specialist Infection Prevention and Control, Assistant Director Infection Prevention and Control , Infection Prevention and Control Nurse/Practitioner, Junior Doctor, Lead Nurse Infection Prevention and Control, Matron Infection Prevention and Control, Microbiologist, Nurse Consultant Infection Prevention and Control, Risk/Governance Manager, Senior Lecturer/Lecturer, Surveillance Nurse and Students.

Abstracts: The conference is expected to attract over 100 posters with a further 14 oral presentations.

Exhibition: Infection Prevention Conference will host the largest infection prevention and control exhibition in the UK with over 100 exhibitors in attendance.

Event: The Vascular Societies' Annual Scientific Meeting 2016

Date: Wednesday 30 November - Friday 2 December 2016

Location: Manchester Central

Exhibition: This scientific meeting welcomed an extensive exhibition with over 60 companies in attendance.

Overview: The Vascular Society Annual Scientific Meeting is recognised as the most important vascular meeting in the UK and it attracted over 600 professionals in its field. The scientific programme was very comprehensive covering interesting new developments, including interactive sessions, and it featured a separate programmes for both vascular nurses and technicians as well as a number of hands on workshops.

Event: Infection Prevention 2016

Location: Harrogate International Centre

Exhibition: The IPS one day study days host exhibitions with 30+ companies.

Overview: Fitwise runs the majority of Infection Prevention Society branch conferences and Special Interest Group conferences. These generally comprise of 120 delegates, an exhibition of 30 companies and 8-10 speakers. In 2016, Fitwise ran 10+ such events for IPS.

Event: Sepsis Unplugged

Date: Thursday 13th - Friday 14th October 2016

Location: Hilton Brighton Metropole

Audience: Healthcare professionals working within Acute Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, ACCS Trainees, GPs, Paramedics, Urgent Care Specialists, Doctors, Surgeons and General Medicine.

Abstracts: Over 50 abstracts were submitted for either oral or poster presentation.

Exhibition: This conference welcomed 29 exhibitors and over 15 sponsors. 

Overview: This 2 day, multi-stream conference brought together all health professionals and patient groups as equals and asked the questions which will help to shape better care for patients with sepsis.

Event: Federation of Infection Societies (FIS) Annual Conference and the 10th Healthcare Infection Society (HIS) International Conference 2016

Date: Sunday 6 - Tuesday 8 November 2016

Location: EICC, Edinburgh

Audience: FIS/HIS 2016 was one of the largest infection prevention and control events in the UK and attracted 800 professionals within the following fields: Consultant Microbiologists, Epidemiologists, Directors of Infection Prevention and Control, Practitioners in Infection Prevention and Control, Antimicrobial Pharmacists, Respiratory Physicians, Infectious Disease Physicians, Public Health Practitioners, Decontamination/sterile services staff, Surveillance Nurses, Paediatricians, Intensivists, HIV Consultants and Biomedical Scientists.

Abstracts: Over 400 abstracts were submitted for poster presentation.

Exhibition: The extensive exhibition showcased the latest in related products and diagnostic technologies and welcomed 47 companies.

Overview: The conference aimed to foster international exchange and networking in the mutual pursuit of the elimination of healthcare-associated infections and to provide a unique opportunity for everyone involved to learn about the latest development in the rapidly changing field of infection prevention and control and to discuss important issues with experts in the field.

Association: Clinical Human Factors Group (CHFG)

Event: Safety, Science & Solutions - Integrating Human Factors into Healthcare

Date: Wednesday 12 March 2014

Location: Hilton Birmingham Metropole

Audience: Over 160 delegates attended including  Chief Executives, Executive and Non-Executive Directors, Chief Operating Officers, Directors of Nursing, Medical Directors and Lead Clinicians.

Exhibition: The exhibition welcomed 10 companies and offered the best examples that human factors and ergonomics can offer, as well as solutions to promote patient safety.

Overview: The CHFG is a registered charitable trust, whose primary aim is to stimulate dialogue and demonstrate through concrete action, how understanding of human factors can positively impact safety, quality and productivity in healthcare and enhance patient and staff experience. This conference welcomed over 160 delegates and offered them the opportunity to meet a diverse range of people with a common interest in promoting patient safety and reducing harm.

Overview: NHS Highland collaborated with the Infection Prevention Society to host a one day conference focused on infection prevention and control.

Audience: The event welcomed 100 delegates consisting of GPs and doctors, nurse managers of nursing and residential homes, practice nurses, link nurses, staff nurses, district nurses, health visitors, and therapists

Event: Infection Prevention and Control – What’s new and what does the future hold?

Overview: A one day conference offering the latest in infection prevention and control education and expertise.

Audience: The event welcomed 110 delegates consisting of microbiologists, infection prevention nurses, antimicrobial pharmacists, clinical scientists, infectious disease physicians, CCDCs, public health staff and other healthcare professionals.
